"Mommy why do we have to stay with Uncle Riley?" asked the brunette eight year old, Amy.
"We're having a few money problems sweetheart." Explained her mother, Cathy. "Yeah," commented the teenage boy, Robby. "But why Uncle Riley? They're so weird."
"Come on you guys they aren't that bad." The father, Jim, reassured them. "He's my brother after all."
"Ceil creeps me out." commented Amy.
"He doesn't even act like a kid." added Robby.
"Hush you two, they're still family." Scolded their dad.
A bark being added from their little scottie, Bit.

The family pulled up to an enormous apartment complex, home to the Phantonhive family.
The dad walked up to the front desk and said, "The Cummings here to see the Phantomhives."
"Penthouse, top floor." Replied the attendant.
"Thanks."
"Oh, penthouse." Said Robby.

The elevator doors opened up into a badly lit modern living room.
"Wow." Exclaimed Amy at the amazing sight.
"Hello young lady." Said a dazzling man in a butlers uniform with black hair and what appeared to be crimson eyes, he was in his mid-twenties.
"Hi." She replied.
"You must be the Cummings we've been expecting you. This way."  The butler said with a fake smile that no one noticed.
The butler led them into a very distinguished office and then took his place next to a large leather chair facing away from the family.
"Young master," said the butler to the person in the chair. "You should greet your guests; your father would be ashamed of you."
"Do not speak out of turn, Sebastian." Replied the person as they swung around their chair. In the chair was a boy about thirteen with dark hair but surprising bright blue eyes.
"Welcome." he said with a fake smile like that the butler gave them.
"Where are your parents Ceil?" asked the father.
"They are out on business, but they will be back tonight." He answered folding his hands on the large ornate desk.
"And they left you here alone?" asked the mother with a concerned look.
"I have Sebastian." He replied. "Who will now show you all to your rooms."
With that the family was lead away and the boy turned to look at what seemed to be paperwork.

Nearly four hours later Mr. and Mrs. Phantomhive returned.
"Welcome back, sir, madam." Greeted Sebastian as a man and woman walked through the door.
The man looked like a larger version of Ceil, but one look at the blond woman and you would know where Ceil got his blue eyes.
"Riley." Said the dad.
"Oh, hello Jim." Said Mr. Pahantomhive. "I forgot you were staying."
"Hi, Mary!" said Cathy with a smile "How are you?"
Mrs. Phantomhive gave her an expressionless look, "Fine."
"Good." Cathy replied nervously.
"Hello Mother, Father." Greeted Ceil just now walking in.
"Good evening, Ceil." Mrs. Phantomhive said finally cracking a smile.
"Riley, do you mind if we talk?" said Jim.
"Not at all, Jim, what is it?" replied Riley.
"In private?" Jim insisted.
Sebastian, bring us some drinks."  Riley ordered.
Cathy stopped Jim as they passed by, "What is it Jim?"
Jim was about to reply when Amy came up to listen too, instead he just shook his head.

Riley shut the door behind them as the two men entered an even more extravagant office then the one occupied by Ceil.
Mr. Phantomhive took a seat behind the desk in the same position as they had seen Ceil sit earlier. "So what is it?" he asked.
Jim cut straight to the point, "Are you still involved in the black market?"
"Not exactly." Riley answered vaguely.
"Then what? I know you didn't come across this nice of a place honestly." Jim replied accusingly.
"We're working for the government." Riley replied.
Jim was taken a back, "What?"
"It's very simple really, brother, we simply take care of the things the government doesn't want to handle." Mr. Phantomhive replied steepeling his fingers.
"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Jim, even more confused.
"We are code named 'The Dogs.' When another outside source like us gets out of hand, or they have a particularly difficult underhanded client they say 'sick the Dogs on them.'" Riley answered with a sinister look. "We are dogs of the government."
Jim was shocked. "Wait, who's this 'we'?" he asked.
"Mary, Ceil and I." he replied "well, and Sebastian, but he really serves as a personal bodyguard for Ceil."
"I can't believe you dragged Ceil into this!"  Jim shouted. "He's so young!"
"We were younger." Riley countered.
"Well, I hated it. Excuse me for leaving the family business behind for the sake of my kids." Jim said coldly. "And I won't get them involved now."
"Where will you go?" Riley said. Checkmate. He continued "Mom and Dad are dead. Your wife's an only child and her parents hate you. You and Sis' have been fighting ever since you left the business all those years ago. We are your only option."

The next few weeks were filled with an angry silence. The Phantomhives often left on business, but one day they took their business home.
Both families were sitting quietly in the main room when things erupted into chaos. Several men on rappelling ropes shattered the large windows diving in. Sebastian was the first to act; he took one man down on his way to get Ceil. Grabbing Ceil he dashed off to the panic room.
The fighting continued both Mr. and Mrs. Phantomhive took out a man but not before one of them grabbed Amy.
"Amy!" Screamed Robby.
"Hands up or she dies!" shouted the masked man.
"What do you want?" asked Mr. Phantomhive raising his arms above his head.
"You, dead." Said the man.
"Fine take m- " Riley started.
"Here," the man cut him off "now, in front of them."
"Riley." Mrs. Phantomhive said with genuine fear.
"No, Riley." Jim started.
"Hey," Riley interrupted. "we're family right? I've already messed up my life, and the life of my family. I'm glad you left the business you didn't make the same mistake as me. I'm proud, you actually learned from your older brother for once."
"Riley…"
"I'll be fine."
"But…"
"I will be fine."
Riley knelt down in front of one of the two men left with his hands on his head. Then in a flash; BANG!
The assailant slumped over reveling Sebastian holding two serving tray. One of which he threw at the other man like a frisbee knocking him unconscious.
"You sure took your time." Mr. Phantomhive commented getting up.
"My apologies, sir, the Young master was being difficult." Sebastian apologized.
"What?" Jim said.
"Well this all has made me see a new light." Riley said with a deep breath "Jim, get out of here."
"What?"
"Here this is the address of our beach house, go there, get your family away from all this." Mr. Phantomhive said with a smile.
"Thank you, Riley."
